Treatments & Procedures
Dr. Fayiga treats a variety of illnesses and injuries to the colon, rectum, and anus.
Examinations and consultations are typically performed in our office. Medical and Diagnostic procedures usually conducted in a hospital or surgical center location, for example, the Surgical Center of Waxahachie or Baylor Medical Center Waxahachie.
Diagnostic procedures are done to determine the condition of the intestinal tract, including the extent and severity of disease, presence of tumors, and perforations in the bowel wall. Results of these procedures are used in determining additional treatment.
As often as conditions allow, minimally invasive surgery, such as laparoscopic surgery, is used to treat diseases and conditions of the bowel. More invasive procedures are sometimes used to treat colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease. Regardless of the disease or condition, all treatment options are discussed with our patients to determine the most appropriate procedure.
Note that some procedures require patient preparation, particularly colonoscopy. For more detailed information, please see Patient Forms.
